In most cases, the responsibility of graffiti removal falls on the owner of the property! Many local municipalities have voted in favor of a law that will provide harsher punishment for those found making graffiti. This new ordinance finds both the parents and juvenile offenders responsible for their actions.
This legislation is similar to a recent ordinance passed in Glassboro, Deptford, and Washington Township. The ordinance imposes strong penalties for offenders.
It also states that the property owners are responsible for removing the graffiti within 10 business days. If the property owner fails to do so the city can then remove the graffiti at the owner’s expense.
Bio-Clean of New Jersey, a crime scene restoration company based out of Glassboro, is here to help the property owners who find themselves victims of vandalism. In light of these new ordinances, Bio-Clean of New Jersey has developed a new division of their company for the sole removal of graffiti. “When a property owner finds their asset has graffiti, they feel a flood of different emotions,” states Andrew Yurchuck, CEO of Bio-Clean of New Jersey. “They become angered, upset, and panicked. Their property has been defaced and they now have the burden of restoring it to its original condition.”
Fortunately, Bio-Clean of New Jersey is here to help. “Graffiti is a crime stimulant. A town laden with graffiti will see higher crime rates then a town that is graffiti free. We will dispatch a team immediately and get the property back to its original condition quickly and efficiently,” explains Yurchuck. “We have recently invested thousands of dollars in state of the art graffiti removal equipment. Our professional staff is highly trained so the business owner can get back to their daily activities with the peace of mind that their building will look brand new once again. Insurance companies will pay for the graffiti removal.”
