STACHYBOTRYS
Stachybotrys, another type of black mold, is a fairly common species. Stachybotrys produces mycotoxins, compounds that have toxic properties. These mycotoxins can appear in both living and dead mold spores.
Fiberboard, gypsum board, paper, dust, and lint are all very conducive to the growth of Stachybotrys. Growth occurs when there is moisture from excessive humidity, water damage, water leaks, condensation, flooding, water infiltration, or a combination of any of the above.
